ABOUT AMY

I graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Following a spiritual call, I obtained a Master’s degree in Theology from Andover Newton Theological Seminary. After more than a decade of working with Federal Grants and improving the systems they serve, I returned to graduate school and completed a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at San Diego State University.

Although there certainly was a faster (and cheaper) way to go through all this schooling, I wouldn’t change my journey for the world. I have gained tremendous insight and perspective from my years in the field- many of those years included working with families in jails- and bring a compassion and grace to the therapy room that I don’t think I would otherwise possess. I consider it my life purpose to utilize the intelligence and giftings I have been given, to walk alongside individuals as they are broken and hurting, and help guide them to places of healing and restoration. I am honored to be a part of this process.

I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT) and live in San Diego, California with my husband and two children.
